"Pale straw green color. Fruity aromas and flavors of tropical fruit salad and grapefruit custard with a silky, crisp, fruity medium body and an effortless, refreshing, medium-long green apple, spiced melon, and salted lemon finish with fine, fruit tannins and no oak. A tasty, affable sauvignon blanc with fine fruit and balance." - Tastings.com; Click Here for more information including pairing options!
Bursting with grapefruit, lime and kumquat peel flavors, this light and refreshingly young white wine, perfectly captures the varietal essence of a New World Sauvignon Blanc.
Light notes of mineral and a perfectly balanced acidity linger in your mouth, giving it a surprisingly pleasant finish. Polished, vibrant and elegant, it can be served along any salad, fish or poultry or enjoyed by itself.
About Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon blanc is a green-skinned grape variety that originates from the Bordeaux region of France. The grape most likely gets its name from the French words sauvage and blanc due to its early origins as an indigenous grape in South West France.
About the Terroir
At the foothill of the Andes, in Mendoza, there is a region integrated by Luján de Cuyo, Maipú, Godoy Cruz and Guaymallén.
Our Sauvignon Blanc is from Barracas, located in Maipú the weather is slightly warmer. This accounts for softer and more mature wines. The arid weather is cooled down by the effects of the altitude and intense sunlight exposure during the day. Soils are deep and alluvial with sand, silt and clay; they allow the vine to extend its roots, improving its strength and health.
About Lucky Frog
The Huarpe Indians inhabited the Andes, and large areas such as the wine growing regions leading up to them, during the Pre-Columbian era. They revered Mama Quilla, the moon, as it was the deity in the sky that gave re-birth every night. In the moon, they would see the image of a frog which became a symbol of water, fluidity, happiness, good fortune and life.
